Digital Divide
Today, the Internet is a relevant and meaningful component of our lives and our modern society. It has become a critical tool for success in education, work, and communicating with others. Unfortunately, thousands of Wicomico County students and their families do not have a computer or broadband Internet service at home. This makes it a challenge to access valuable learning content, perform homework that requires internet research, communicate between parents and teachers, search for jobs, or be competitive in the global workplace. It is an obligation of the technology community to make every effort and commitment to close those gaps.
